Kalapathar Beach
The Kalapathar beach is situated on one corner of Havelock Island. The beach gets its name from the surrounding village called Kalapathar Village and the black rocks (Kalapathar Rocks) that adorn the coastline here. It is situated on one corner of Havelock and is a continuation of beach No. 5. The beach can get a bit crowded in high season, but if you walk further to the south you’ll find yourself completely alone.Kalapathar offers couple of umbrellas and wooden chairs. There is also a small picnic area with trash bins set in the shade of the trees. In season locals sell fresh coconuts and mango juices, but there are no other facilities.
